Trevor
Gibbs has extensive International Development Experience in large Pharma,
ranging from First-time-in-human to In-Market management). He led the GSK
Clinical Safety & Pharmacovigilance function since 2001 and Medical
Governance since 2004.
He specialises in:
Risk Assessment & Management of Development & Marketed assets both internal and external to the company.
Risk Assessment & Management of key Medical Processes – especially those that are regulated or that have significant impact on company image

Trevor
has held Board positions at the Edward Jenner Institute for Vaccine Research,
was a Corporate Industrial Advisor to School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR),
University of Sheffield, and served on the NICE Appraisals Committee for the 7
years following its inception.
In 2009 Trevor joined ii4sm (international Institute for the Safety of
Medicines), a systems and services provider, as Executive Vice President &
Chief Medical Officer (www.ii4sm.com).
Trevor received his medical degree from Kings College Hospital School of
Medicine, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and has recently been
appointed as a Professor at the University of London’s School of Hygiene &
Tropical Medicine.
